Membership Volunteer Donations Book Sales Membership & Impact The library is a place for innovation, connection, and discovery for people people of every age. And thanks to your generosity as a Friend of the Turner Free Library, these experiences continue to grow each year. Through your support, the Friends help fund programs, resources, and opportunities that bring our library to life. In fact, Friends funding nearly doubles the annual programming budget provided by the Town of Randolph, allowing the library to offer far more events, activities, and services than would otherwise be possible. None of this would be possible without your support! Please consider becoming a member of the Friends of the Turner Free Library. The Friends is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit and donations are tax deductible. Share your creativity; whether you can help once, occasionally, or regularly, your time truly matters. Donations Thank you for your support! The Friends of the Turner Free Library is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit and donations are tax deductible. Monetary donations can be made online via Paypal or by check or cash at the Turner Free Library. If you would like to make a donation in honor of a person or organization, please put their name in the donation box in the payment form. If you would like them or their family to be notified, please email their name and mailing address to friendsoftfl@gmail.com . The Friends of the Turner Free Library are also delighted to accept donations of books and DVDs in gift-worthy condition. The Friends are unable to accept donations of items that are: Dirty Moldy or have a cigarette smell Burnt or water damaged Damaged or missing covers or pages Excessive writing, markings, or highlighting Computer, language, or travel books more than 3 years old Textbooks more than 5 years old VHS or Cassette Tapes Magazines or workbooks Encyclopedias Donations can be dropped off in bins next to the Children's Help Desk at the library or in the book donation bin at the Zapustas Ice Arena (240 North Street). The Friends greatly appreciate your donations but are unable to to make pick ups. Book Sales The Friends of the Turner Free Library offer an ongoing book sale all year long! Be sure to visit their shelves, located on the library's second floor, regularly for great deals on books for all ages! Biannual Book Sale Twice a year, in May and November, the Friends of the Library host a large book sale with some amazing deals!     Dial-A-Story The Turner Free Library offers black and white and color printing services. The cost per page is $0.15 for black and white and $0.50 for color printing. Read on for information about how to print your documents! Printing From Library Computers Printing From Your Own Devices Creating a Printing Account Printing From Library Computers 1. See library staff to create a printing account if you don't already have one. Your account will be under your library card or guest pass number. 2. Send your document to the printer, selecting the black and white or color printer as needed. You may also select single or double-sided printing, and the number of copies you would like printed. 3. Double-check the print preview on your computer; what you see on the screen is what will print. Library staff cannot offer refunds. 4. On the confirmation popup, check to ensure that the number of pages and the price is correct, then click "print." 5. Go to the print release station near the library's help desk and log in with your library card or guest pass number. 6. Deposit change or bills into the coin-op machine. 7. Select individual documents to print, or click the “print all documents” button. 8. Click “log out” once you are finished. If you have change, you can choose to have it returned to you or saved to your printing account. Printing From Your Own Devices 1. Go online to bit.ly/tflprinter and follow the instructions for your device type. 3. Send your document to the printer, selecting the black and white or color printer as needed. Double-check the print preview on your device. Library staff cannot offer refunds. 4. When prompted, log in with the following information: Username: your library card number Password: OCLN 5. There is no confirmation screen; instead go to the print release station and log in with your account information. 6. Deposit change or bills into the coin-op machine. 7. Select individual documents to print or click the “print all documents” button. 8. Click “logout” once you are finished. If you have change, you can choose to have it returned to you or saved to your printing account.     The Trustees of the Turner Free Library effectively govern library proceedings. Administratè yo The Board of Trustees are an essential part of the TFL team! As public library Trustees, the Board establishes library policies and acts as the agents of public trust in governing the library. The Trustees of the Turner Free Library meet the first Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm, unless otherwise noted. All meetings are posted on the Library's online calendar , at Town Hall, and on the Town of Randolph website . Board of Trustee meeting bylaws , agendas , and minutes are available online.     Accessibility Statement The Turner Free Library includes accessibility features on its website as part of its mission "to serve the informational, educational, cultural, and recreational needs of all the members of the diverse Randolph community." Over 60% of adults in the US have a disability of some kind, many of which can make websites like the Turner Free Library's difficult to use. This in turn limits their access to library services and resources. In order to make the Library's website as inclusive as possible, it includes the Recite Me web accessibility and language toolbar. The Turner Free Library is also a KultureCity Certified Sensory Inclusive Venue , with TFL staff completing yearly training on providing sensory inclusive services. The Library offers Sensory Bags at both TFL Help Desks, which contain headphones and sensory fidgets available for anyone to use while at the TFL. Measures to support accessibility To ensure the accessibility of its website, the Turner Free Library takes the following measures: Include accessibility as part of the Library's mission statement Provide continual accessibility training for Library staff Add the Recite Me web accessibility and language toolbar to the Library's website Recite Me Web Accessibility and Language Toolbar The Recite Me toolbar allows visitor's to the Turner Free Library's website to access the library services and resources they're looking for. The compreh Web Content Accessibility Conformance Status The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The Turner Free Library's website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
